Small Accents Make a Big Difference

Small Accents on a Country PorchThe addition of small accents to your country porch can make a big difference in your look. When you think of your own home and those homes you have liked when you visited or saw them in magazines, you know some of what goes into a country porch that you will also like. It’s often the little things.

Ways to Use Small Accents

A charming figurine set on a table. A unique and interesting set of coasters resting on a side table. A small bouquet of flowers set on the coffee table. A delightful centerpiece on the dining table. Any and all of these types of things can make a world of difference in your country porch.

Accent pieces can help set the tone, as well. Have you used a theme for your country porch? Then the little extras that you add to table tops can carry that theme for you. Maybe you don’t have a theme. Then you have the world of what ever strikes your fancy to accent your country porch.

Favorite Small Accents for a Country Porch

One of my favorite types of accents are teacup planters. When planted with a small flowering plant, they add a delightful touch and set a more outdoors theme for my country porch. Since my porch doesn’t get extensive sunlight, I use impatiens in various colors for my flowering plants.

Teacup planters are inexpensive and can be used on many different types of tables, from small side tables to a centerpiece for the dining table. Try standing rolled cloth napkins in a teacup planter as a centerpiece. Whether you match the colors of your napkins, contrast them, or make a rainbow, the effect is a charming centerpiece.

Small Accents for a Big Difference

Those small accents that you use for your country porch make a big difference in your look. They add charm and character. Some times, a few well-chosen small accents are all you need. But, if your porch, deck, or patio is large, more accents will help.

So add those kind of fun small accents that bring sparkle and charm to your country porch. The inviting world of the indoors will carry over to the outdoors.
