Single Color Scheme for Your Country Porch

Do you want your color scheme to be just one color for your country porch? If you do, that’s fine. A single color carried through your whole porch design can look charming and inviting.

To make your single color scheme work for your country porch, you need to remember a few things. First, mix up the patterns. Use some solids, some florals and some stripes. And use accent pieces to add interest to your look.

We tried out a red scheme. Solid red cushions were put on the chairs, but floral red cushions went on the settee and the rocker. Red and white striped and red and white plaid throw pillows were added. Then we complimented everything with red polka dot teacup planters with red impatiens plants growing in them. You can imagine the effect was stunning. Our single-color country porch worked as an inviting and charming world.

Don’t be afraid to go with a single color scheme. Pick your favorite color, whether it’s red, green, blue, even yellow and create a delightful country porch look. A single color scheme looks at it’s best on white wicker or wood furniture to set it off, but that’s not required. You can still do a single color effect with other types of natural wood and wrought iron.

I do love a single color in design. You are right, it isn’t boring when you mix in the patterns and prints! Red is my favorite color so I am sure I would love what you did!
