Patio Glider Bench for Outdoor Enjoyment

patio glider benchThis year I’m looking for a patio glider bench to enjoy my outdoor living time more. Simple, beautiful and relaxing. That’s what I found with these glider benches. All of them are ideal to accent my country porch look.

Now I just have to decide which one to get. But first, review along with me the choices.

Basic Wood Patio Glider Bench

Something basic was my first thought. I wanted a patio glider bench that would easily complement my other country porch furniture. The basic look of wood seemed just right. Adding color will come when I choose the cushions for my porch furniture.

Unique Looks for a Patio Glider Bench

Yes, I wanted simple, but then I found these looks. I can picture each one as part of my country porch decor. For my patio glider bench, I want to create a nook. A small table along side and a simple rug or mat for my feet. Which means I will be using small accents to make a big difference with my bench nook. That also means I don’t necessarily need to go with simple.

Creating a Country Porch Nook

I have the perfect corner on my country porch. It will make a great reading or relaxing nook. It’s just big enough to hold a patio glider bench and a small table. I love the idea of a gliding bench to add that relaxing back and forth movement. A rocking chair could also work, but I like the idea of the bench. Two people can sit together. Or I can happily be by myself to read.

Space for the table is important to me. During the warm months, I like to have a cool drink to enjoy while I read or relax. Of course, I need a place to set my drink and book.

In front of my patio glider bench, I will chose a rug that complements my color scheme. That will tie my nook together with the rest of my country porch. This will be a simple nook, but ideal for my reading or relaxing time outdoors.

Over the years, we have had a few different gliders. I love the relaxing moments when I can sit and “glide”. My personal favorite is our steel glider. It seems to hold up the best in our area with such extreme and every changing weather.
